The investigation continues after a small plane crashed into Mount H’Kusam, last Wednesday, killing the pilot.

Pilot Victor Andy Barbo, 56, a resident of the U.S., was found dead after his plane crashed into the mountain at an elevation of 5,200 feet.

According to RCMP, the plane was en route from Bellingham, Washington, to Alaska, when it disappeared from the air traffic control radar around 2:30 p.m.

On Friday, a search and rescue team was able to rappel down to the site and found the deceased pilot, the only person aboard the aircraft.

The British Columbia Coroners service is currently conducting an investigation with assistance from the RCMP and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
