Pickets come down, registration continues

CRADTA has informed both Carihi High and Timberline Secondary that school sites will not be picketed on Thursday and Friday

The Campbell River and District Teachers' Association has informed both Carihi High and Timberline Secondary that school sites will not be picketed on Thursday, Sept. 18 and Friday, Sept. 19.

The schools will only be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for new registrations, course changes for grades 10 to 12, and to sign out lockers.

On Thursday, according to the release, "limited course changes can be made, however there will be no counsellors in attendance-only principals available for these changes."

Counsellors will be available on Friday.

The schools "are strongly encouraging students to check their schedules on student connect, make any necessary course changes and sign out lockers over the next two days in preparation for school start up next week.

"Please continue to monitor the School District Website, Twitter and Facebook for information on school start-up date."
