Pair facing trafficking charges after South Alder drug bust

The Campbell River RCMP Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Feb. 11 at a residence located in the 500 block of South Alder Street in Campbell River.

The warrant arose out of an ongoing investigation into the illicit trafficking of cocaine and heroin in the Campbell River area.   The search resulted in a seizure of 162 grams of cocaine, 87 grams of heroin, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking and $78000 in cash. A 51-year-old male and a 47-year-old female, both of Campbell River, were arrested and charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking for both heroin and cocaine were forwarded to Federal Crown Counsel for charge approval.
