Police have released the name of a man who died last week, but are saying little else about the case.

Ryan Douglas Britnell was pronounced dead at Campbell River hospital after he was found unresponsive at the Paramount Music Hall (formerly the Voodoo Lounge) in the early morning hours Friday.

His death is being treated as suspicious and members of the Campbell River RCMP Major Crimes Unit are awaiting autopsy results as their investigation continues.

No other details were released. Britnell, a man in his mid-20s, had recently moved from Vancouver to Campbell River and was working in construction.
