Campbell River’s Save-On Foods was a big winner at the Overwaitea Food Group’s (OFG) 2010 Leadership Excellence Awards.
Lionel Gjerde, store manager at Campbell River Save-On-Foods, is OFG’s 2010 Store Leader of the Year and the entire Campbell River team has been named the 2010 Store of the Year.
Recognized for “bringing out the best in his team everyday, Gjerde has been selected for his outstanding leadership talents and dedicated hands-on approach to developing members of his team,” according to a company statement. “Gjerde’s passion for people, customer service and his commitment to community involvement has earned him a distinct reputation as a respected leader in both his store and throughout the community of Campbell River.”
Serving in communities across BC and Alberta, Save-On-Foods has served Campbell River since 1951.
This is the second time a Campbell River Save-On-Foods store leader has been honoured with a prestigious OFG Leader of the Year Award – Bill Olson was a previous winner in 1993.
