The Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL) Board of Trustees ratified a tentative five-year collective agreement with CUPE 401 on Jan. 16.
The tentative collective agreement was reached with the assistance of mediation between VIRL and CUPE 401 bargaining units on Jan. 14. At the VIRL Board of Trustees Annual General Meeting, the agreement was ratified by the 38-member Board. VIRL and CUPE 401 now await the results of a ratification vote by CUPE 401 members on Jan. 24.
