Dreams have come true for the Campbell River Minor Lacrosse Association.
On Friday, April 29 at 5 p.m. they will be celebrating the grand opening of the newly-constructed outdoor lacrosse box at Robron Park. Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be a free barbeque hosted by Save-On-Foods and some short opening speeches with a pick up lacrosse game to follow. The Campbell River Minor Lacrosse Association was determined to build an outdoor lacrosse box for them and for general community use. It all came to pass in 2010 thanks to a great deal of volunteer and financial support.
“This really is a celebration of how our local businesses and governments can come together and support the development of our youth,” says Kevin Mills of the Lacrosse Association.
