Each January, Crime Stoppers programs around the world celebrate Crime Stoppers Month to highlight their successes and promote one of the largest crime solving and crime fighting programs in the world.
“The program’s success in this community is due in large part to the many volunteers, organizations, sponsors, businesses, media and law enforcement agencies that contribute to its operation,” says Jim Forsyth, President of Campbell River Crime Stoppers. Since its inception in 1980, Campbell River Crime Stoppers has helped solve 562 cases.
Tips to Crime Stoppers have resulted in more than 572 arrests, over $450,000 in property recovered and an estimated $9 million worth of drugs being seized.
