This spring the City of Campbell River will welcome Japanese students arriving from our sister city, Ishikari, Japan.
They are participants in the Young Ambassadors exchange program which is now in its 20th year. The program arranges for exchange visits in alternate years between Campbell River and Ishikari. The exchange students, ranging in ages from 11 to 15 years arrive in Campbell River on March 25 accompanied by adult chaperones.
For five brief days they will stay with local families, experiencing our Canadian lifestyle and participating in activities planned by the Campbell River Twinning Society.
