Two prolific offenders behind bars this week because their stolen getaway vehicle wouldn’t start.
Campbell River RCMP nabbed the pair as they were seated in a stolen vehicle attempting to start it.
Also located in the vehicle were televisions that had recently been stolen in a break-in at a local business.
Arthur Michael Nelson, 37, and Darren Jason Puglas, 35, both of Campbell River, are charged with break enter and theft, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of break-in Instruments and two counts of possession of stolen property.
Nelson had been released from jail three days previously after serving a one year sentence for break and enter. Both have been remanded in custody.
