Four accidents on a bright, sunny day

The weather was awesome on Wednesday in Campbell River, but what wasn't so great were drivers

There was hardly a cloud in the sky and the roads were bone-dry, but somehow drivers managed to bang up their vehicles on Wednesday.

Campbell River RCMP investigated at least four separate accidents: two in the morning and another pair in the afternoon.

The first, around 9:30 a.m., was a three-vehicle fender-bender in Willow Point where no one was hurt. Another occurred on 16th Ave. and Dogwood St., and again no one was seriously injured.

The third happened around noon at Rockland Road and Alder Street with a small car striking a pickup and then a utility pole. Once again, no one was hurt.

The last occurred around 3:45 p.m. at Alder and Evergreen St., when a car went through the stop sign and T-boned an SUV. Both drivers were taken to hospital.
