At 3:01 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, Campbell River firefighters responded to reports of smoke coming from an attached garage at a residence in the 100 block of Alder St.
“When firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames in one side of a two-bay garage. The fire was extinguished, and damage did not extend into the living space of the residence,” says deputy fire chief Chris Vrabel.
The investigation determined the cause of the fire was accidental.
Two occupants were transported by BC EHS to the hospital for observation, no other injuries were reported and damage is estimated to be about $10,000.
