Six members of the Campbell River Fire Department received exemplary service medals and long service awards from the City of Campbell River at the Nov. 23 meeting of City Council, in recognition of the work they do in our community.
Captain Ed Stawski received a 35-year long service award medal, Chief Ian Baikie received an exemplary service medal for 30-years of service as did Captain Ken Dawson, Firefighter Peter Doherty and Firefighter David Lagos, and Lieutenant Gord Dawson received a 25-year long service award.
Council extends congratulations and thanks to the members of the CRFD.
