Fire burning south of Roberts Lake

BC Wildfire service reporting a 4.5 ha fire

Two forest fires of note are currently burning in the Campbell River area, according to BC Wildfire Serivce.

The closest one is two kilometres south of Roberts Lake and is 6.5 hectares in size, according to the BC Wildfire Service website. It began this afternoon but is currently being fought by firefighters and heavy equipment.

Another, smaller fire is also burning on Hardinge Island just off Sonora Island north of Quadra Island. It is .009 hectares in size.
