Highway 19 is closed in both directions 25 kilometres northwest of Campbell River due to a fatal accident.
Two vehicles were involved in a collision on Highway 19 near Roberts Lake around 12:56 this afternoon.
North Vancouver Island Traffic Services, with the assistance of Campbell River RCMP members and the Island District Analyst/Reconstructionist are presently at the scene conducting the investigation, according to a North Vancouver Island Traffic Services press release.
Highway 19 is closed in both direction due to the debris and for scene exampination.
