A 68-year-old Campbell River man is under arrest for aggravated assault.

Police responded to a report of domestic assault at 370 Elizabeth Rd at 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Ambulance also attended and three people were taken to Campbell River hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.

“I can tell you puncture wounds,” said RCMP Sgt. Craig Massey, but he would not say anything further about the nature of the injuries or how many people were “punctured.”

A JJP hearing will be conducted sometime this evening before charges are officially laid.

“Forensic and plain clothed officers continue to pursue evidentiary and forensic evidence,” said Massey.
