It’s going to be another crowded municipal election ballot in Campbell River on Nov. 15.

After Friday’s deadline for candidates to declare their intention to run for local government office passed, 17 people will run for city councillor and three for mayor in Campbell River.

  • The mayoral candidates are:

  • Running for city councillor are:

Bob Bray,

David Christian,

Charlie Cornfield,

Andrea Craddock,

Colleen Evans,

Todd Jones (picture not available),

Ron Kerr,

Peter Klobucar,

Les Lengyel,

Marcia McKay,

Claire Moglove,

Jim Parnell,

Larry Samson,

Ziggy Stewart,

Darryn Striga,

Marlene Wright.

  • Meanwhile, there are eight candidates for school board:

Richard Franklin,

Ted Foster,

Daryl Hagen,

Svetlana Harper,

Linda Jay,

John Kerr,

Joyce McMann,

Janice Rickey.

  • In the Strathcona Regional District, two directors have been acclaimed Gerald Whalley (Area A – Kyuquot/Nootka-Sayward) and Jim Abram (Area C – Discovery Islands/Mainland Inlets).

Three people will compete for Area B (Cortes Island ): Noba Anderson, Delia Becker and Bruce Brown.

Two people will compete for Area D: Terry Honig and Brenda Leigh.
