Publisher Dave Hamilton is pleased to announce that Jacquie Duns will be joining the Campbell River Mirror's sales staff.

Duns began her journey in the newspaper world at the Courier-Islander in 1999 as a single mother. She began in office administration. She learned in short order that she fit well in the industry and after three years of office work, her publisher decided she needed to spread her wings and gave her an opportunity to experience the sales side of the business. Duns enjoyed the challenge and before long she moved to the sales department as a full-time Sales Consultant.

Her career at the Courier-Islander brought many blessings, the most important being that she met and married her husband, Allen Duns of Coastline Mazda and they expanded their family to include two more daughters. Her favourite part of working in the newspaper industry is the relationships she’s built over the years. With the closing of the paper came the end of a chapter in Duns’ life.

She will miss her Courier-Islander family but very much looks forward to embracing this new chapter and family at the Campbell River Mirror and getting back to doing what she loves!
