The Canadian Tire gas outlet on 16th Avenue was a hive of activity as Campbell River drivers tried to get in on the cheap gas.
With most pumps around town somewhere around $1.21, the 99.9 cents being charged at the Canadian Tire outlet was too good to resist and so drivers lined up along 16th Avenue for a couple of blocks in order to take advantage of the deal.
