Dave was born to parents Hank Scholtens and Sophia Neass on July 30th, 1964 along side his twin brother Donald. Dave came into this world already stubborn and fighting something we all knew him for very well.
Growing up our dad held many jobs and was a man of many trades and talents. Many of you know Dave for his beautiful cabinetry, and ability to take apart and rebuild anything put in front of him. Those who were fortunate enough to get to know Dave more personally, know he was much more than a jack of all trades. David had the courage and heart of a lion and was the most compassionate and loving man you could ever meet.
Dave was a selfless and dignified man even to the end. Putting his girls and family first, he relocated to hospice when his health began to fail, but entering Yucalta did not slow down nor stop Dave from doing the things he loved. We will always remember our Dad's workshop "hum" and ability to move anyone to stitches of laughter, even at the most unsuitable times.
Dave is survived by his daughters Taylor and Alaysha, as well as his brothers Donald and Kevin, sister Monica and niece Amanda.
We love you Dad, and will miss you more than words.
