Children of all ages celebrated National Child Day last Friday at the Community Centre in a whirlwind of laughter, music, paint and play. There were arts and crafts, face painting stations, storybook readings, clowns making balloon animals, cardboard box tunnels and forts, and stage performances galore from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The whole event, as it is every year, was free to the public.
