Celebrating Family Literacy Day

With help from children and youth services customer services librarian Emily Mathews, two-year-old Logan Majoros gets a chance to see what it's like to be part of a puppet show, to the delight of his mother Angela and his six-month-old sister Lacey following the National Family Literacy Day puppet show Jan. 27 at the Campbell River library. The library hosted two puppet shows that day as part of Family Literacy Week celebrations. Family Literacy Week wraps up this weekend with a Found Instruments Community Family Sing Along today (Friday) from 6-7 p.m. at Spirit Square, weather permitting (check literacyforall.ca to find out if it is still happening) and a sold-out Charlotte Diamond concert Saturday at the Tidemark Theatre.
