Campbell River teen stole bait car

Appears in Campbell River provincial court and pleads guilty

A young offender is awaiting sentencing for stealing a bait car and several other offences.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, committed the offences while living in the Lower Mainland.

On Monday, he appeared in Campbell River provincial court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of mischief, possession of cocaine, stealing a bait car, and impaired driving.

The offences occurred last March in Surrey and New Westminster.

A pre-sentence report is being prepared for the court. Sentencing will take place sometime after Nov. 18.
