Aaron Brewer is taken heavily into the boards in Wednesday's playoff series opener in Campbell River. They lost that game 4-1 but roared back last night to tie the series with a 4-0 win in Nanaimo.

The Storm surged back into its playoff series against the Nanaimo Buccaneers last night by blanking the Hub City 4-0 on the road.

A scoreless tie was broken in the second period when Curtis Toneff scored on the power play at 16:09 on a pass from Brendan deVries. Nearly two minutes later, deVries took a turn and scored on a power play on assists from Trent Johnson and Jordan Rauser.

Campbell River built on their lead in the third with a second goal from deVries at 4:52 on a set up by Toneff. The game was salted away at 13:21 on the power play goal by Alex brewer from Rauser and Josiah Friesen.

Game three of the series goes tonight at 7:30 at the Rod Brind'Amour Arena.

The series is now tied 1-1.

In the other playoff game last night, the Comox Valley Glacier Kings defeated the Saanich Braves 7-2 in Saanich.
