The Campbell River Hospital Foundation and Campbell River Hospice Society are partnering in a campaign to support four new community hospice beds at Yucalta Lodge.

Called Hospice at Yucalta Lodge, the new four-bed space will open in early spring and will be owned and operated by Island Health.

The Hospital Foundation and Hospice Society have formed this innovative partnership to raise funds for items that will be used to create a comfortable, warm, home-like environment for patients at Hospice at Yucalta Lodge and their families. Renovations are currently underway at Yucalta Lodge for the new hospice space.

Campbell River Hospice has been working in the community for 30 years and will continue to work with Island Health to support the Hospice Beds at Yucalta Lodge through their invaluable programs and resources to support those who need it.

Anyone who would like to support the Hospice Beds at Yucalta Lodge and help to enhance the quality of life for patients who are dying, can make a donation online or call 250-850-2418.
