Drive careful out there everybody, Campbell River is a winter wonderland.

Already this morning, emergency crews have been called out to motor vehicle incidents on the Island Highway north of town, including one vehicle in the ditch at Menzies Bay.

Just north of there, emergency crews are attending an accident at the Ripple Rock Trail turnoff. The highway has been reduced to a single lane alternating traffic as crews work to clear the incident.

It will probably be a sloppy day out there. Environment Canada is calling for snow flurries this morning, ending near noon then cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries.

Tomorrow is expected to be clear but with temperatures below zero overnight tonight.

Take care.
