Brewster Lake Road closed Jan. 3-4

BC Hydro will be replacing a section of public safety fencing along the top of John Hart Dam

BC Hydro will be replacing a section of public safety fencing along the top of John Hart Dam, and to safely complete the work, has requested and received a permit from the City of Campbell River to close Brewster Lake Road on Jan. 3-4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fencing protects the public from unsafe areas near the John Hart Reservoir and the operating hydroelectric facilities. The fencing also helps to protect the water supply for Campbell River. Access to Elk Falls off Highway 28 will remain open. The road will be closed along the section of the dam near the Spillway Dam.
