BC Ferries adds extra sailings to move travellers on the Easter long weekend

The most popular travel times are expected to be mid-day Thursday to late morning Friday

BC Ferries is preparing for a busy Easter long weekend with 58 extra sailings beginning on Thursday, April 2.

From April 2 to April 6, additional sailings are scheduled for the Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay, Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay, and Horseshoe Bay – Langdale routes to accommodate additional traffic over the Easter long weekend. The schedule for the Earls Cove – Saltery Bay route has been adjusted to align with the additional sailings on the Horseshoe Bay – Langdale route.

  • 42 extra sailings are scheduled on the Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay route

  • 10 extra sailings are scheduled on the Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay route

  • 6 extra sailings are scheduled on the Horseshoe Bay – Langdale route

The most popular travel times are expected to be mid-day Thursday to late morning Friday with traffic moving from Metro Vancouver to Vancouver Island and from Horseshoe Bay to the Sunshine Coast.
