BC Coroner identifies victim of Campbell River traffic fatality

He was the driver and sole occupant of a car going northbound on Highway 19A near York Road

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as the result of a motor vehicle incident in Campbell River on Tuesday.

John Norman Fisher, 59, from Campbell River was the driver and sole occupant of a car going northbound on Highway 19A near York Road at about 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 26 when he was involved in a head-on collision with a southbound car. Fisher was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this incident.

Fisher's family has been notified of his death.
