Just before 6 p.m. on Feb. 8, fire crews responded to a reported house fire in the 2700 block of Bradford Rd.
“When crews arrived they found the occupants evacuating the home and a fire in one bedroom on the second floor,” says Deputy Fire Chief Chris Vrabel. “A very quick response by fire crews that evening extinguished the fire before the smoke and flames had the opportunity to migrate beyond the single room.
“The homeowner was alerted to the fire problem after her smoke alarm activated on the lower floor,” Vrabel says.
No injuries were reported.
