What does life look like when community, comfort and coastal views come together? On June 20, a limited number of guests will have the chance to find out during a behind-the-scenes open house at Berwick by the Sea. From chef-prepared tastings to live music and guided tours, the event offers a relaxed, inside look at one of Campbell River’s most welcoming retirement communities.
“This event is a great way for guests to get a real sense of our community,” says Chelsey Andrews, Berwick by the Sea’s new Community Relations Manager. “They’ll be able to view our guest suite, explore the grounds, meet team members and residents, and even sample some of Chef Stephanie’s delicious creations while enjoying live entertainment.”
The afternoon kicks off at 1:30 p.m. with a warm welcome and a short video presentation in the on-site theatre. From there, guests will break into small groups for guided tours, offering a more intimate look at the suites, amenities and everyday life at Berwick. The tours will wrap up in the Tyee Lounge, where guests can take in sweeping ocean views, enjoy house-made snacks and refreshments, and relax to the sounds of live music by Paul Kurucz – a beloved local performer known for his heartfelt vocals and acoustic guitar.
The event concludes with prize draws and a take-home package for each guest. Those interested in learning more about Berwick or joining the waitlist are encouraged to contact Chelsey after the open house event.
“Our current waitlist is approximately 18 months to two years, so we really encourage individuals and couples to start planning early,” Chelsey notes. “Attending an event like this is a great first step in deciding whether Berwick is the right fit for your future.”
Parking Information:
Parking at Berwick is limited during the event. Registered guests are encouraged to park at Tyee Plaza, where a Berwick shuttle will provide transportation to and from the open house.
