Carihi Tyees open senior boy's basketball season with 72-23 win over Brooks

Carihi Tyees beat Brooks Thunderbirds in season opener

The Carihi Secondary School senior boys basketball team started their season against the Brooks Thunderbirds at École Phoenix Middle School.

Due to a late-night fire on Nov. 21 at the secondary school, the gym will be closed until repairs are complete. 

The Carihi Tyees won 72-23. 

Carihi will play four more home games this season: Dec. 10 against Isfeld, Jan. 7 against Barsby, Jan. 21 against Alberni, and Feb. 4 against Ballenas. All games will start at 7 p.m. Away games include Wellington (Dec. 17), Kwalikum (Jan. 14), Francis Kelsey (Jan. 28), and Timberline (Feb. 6).
