The Campbell River Storm hung on for a 6-4 victory over the Saanich Predators on Friday, Oct. 11 at Rod Brind'Amour Arena in Campbell River.
Jacob Kulas co-lead the scoring with two in the third period, both on assists from Tristan Williams and expanding on a 3-2 lead going into the final frame. Other goals for the Storm came from Lavente Birta with two, one unassisted and one into the empty net in the third (Theo Landry, Kaeden Serpa), Brayden Hickling (Ethan Hill, Thomas Curri) and Theo Landry (Hill, Williams).
Goal scorers for Saanich were Jake Westhaver with two (Nick Scott, Matt Kerr and Mathieu Ouellete, Conall Hill) and Mathieu Ouellete with two (Westhaver, Scott and Hill, Isaiah Idisi))
In goal for the Storm were Kaeden Serpa who faced 40 shots and for the Predators, Jaden Vanderlee who faced 39.
Next game for the Storm is Saturday, Oct. 19 against Kerry Park at the Kerry Park Arena and home on Sunday, Oct. 20 against Port Alberni at the Brindy.
