Luc Pelletier, a player for the NCAA's Princeton University Tigers, was announced as a guest coach for the Campbell River Storm's ID Camp this July.

The Campbell River Storm has announced that a new guest coach will be appearing at their ID Camp this Summer.

Luc Pelletier, a current player for the Princeton University Tigers in the NCAA's Division 1 ECAC Hockey Conference will be attending the camp to help evaluate future players for the Storm. Pelletier, from Courtenay, played 48 games for the Peninsula Panthers during the 2019-20 season before moving on to the British Columbia Hockey League's (BCHL) Victoria Grizzlies, where he played for four seasons, appearing in 169 games and scoring 92 points. After aging out of junior hockey, he joined the Tigers for the 2024-2025 season. In his debut season, he appeared in 29 games and registered eight points (three goals and five assists).

The ID Camp is running from July 18 to 20 in Campbell River.

"The ID camp is the first step of the Storm’s selection process for the 2025-26 season," said Lou Gravel, the team's general manager. "Participation in the ID camp can result in an invitation to the Main camp and a selection to the Storm roster."
Officials from the BCHL's Coquitlam Express, Cowichan Valley Capitals, and the Powell River Kings will be in attendance at the camp.

Gravel said he can't disclose the actual of spots available at the camp due to it still being too early. However, out of the 48 players from the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League who have moved on to higher levels of hockey, 28 were from the Campbell River Storm.
