Woman turns herself in to the Quadra RCMP after alleged Fireball theft

Quadra RCMP found the woman after issuing plea for public support

Quadra RCMP has identified the woman involved in an alleged Fireball Whiskey theft.

Quathiaski Cove Tru Value Foods reported the woman to the police, who had a British accent and went by the name “Joanne”, saying she allegedly took a bottle of the cinnamon-flavoured whiskey, and possibly other items, from 5:10 to 5:20 p.m. on March 26.

The RCMP had received multiple tips on the person’s identity from the public after they issued a press release on March 27 asking for help. Eventually, the woman turned herself in to the police that same day.

She also went to the grocery store to apologize and provide contact information to staff. Police say she has been fully cooperative.
