The Village of Tahsis, along with the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation and the Village of Gold River, is inviting residents to complete a regional transportation survey.
The Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation recently purchased a shuttle bus and a passenger van to serve guests at the Baymont Hotel in Gold River. This service aims to make it easier for people to travel between the Comox Airport, Campbell River, Gold River, and Tahsis.
The survey will help evaluate the feasibility of a potential fare-based transportation service connecting Tahsis with surrounding communities.
"Your input will help us better understand demand, preferred scheduling, and affordability – ensuring any future service reflects the needs of our community," says the Village of Tahsis.
Tahsis residents will receive a paper copy of the survey in their regular post box. Residents also have the option to complete this survey electronically.
Tahsis businesses that are part of the email distribution list will receive a separate link to complete the business-focused survey online.
The deadline to fill out the online survey is June 21. Paper surveys must be returned on or before June 30.
The electronic survey can be completed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TahsisResidentSurvey.
