The City of Campbell River is implementing a Stage 1 water restriction, beginning Thursday (May 1).

Watering restrictions come into effect to maintain enough water for firefighting and other essential services during the summer months, when there is a jump in demand, says the city.

Under Stage 1, residential lawn watering is permitted on even-numbered addresses on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 5 to 9 a.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.

Odd-numbered addresses are permitted on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5 to 9 a.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.

The city asks the public to please follow the restrictions and be aware of your water use.
