The City of Campbell River is proposing Zoning Bylaw Amendment No. 3989, 2025, which seeks to introduce a site-specific text amendment to the Public Areas One (PA-1) Zone, allowing the use of 'apartment' at 375 2nd Avenue.
The proposed site-specific text amendment to the Public Area One (PA-1) Zone would allow a new development that will provide residential accommodation to doctors and nurses, and to families that need lodging while staying with a family member who is in hospital, according to a city release.

The city says it is seeking written submissions as council is set to consider first, second, and third readings during a regular council meeting at 6 p.m. on April 10.
Written submissions referencing file number P2500014 must be submitted by 4 p.m. on April 10, either to the Development Services Department or via email at planning@campbellriver.ca.
