There is no shortage of spooktacular fun happening in Campbell River on Halloween.
Trick-or-treaters are invited to join the festivities downtown, where they can enjoy games and collect treats from local businesses on Oct. 31, states a City of Campbell River news release. The fun begins at 3 p.m. and runs until 5:30 p.m.
For those who go trick-or-treating at the library, the special treat is a free book. There will also be prizes for the best costumes in the following categories: two and under, three-to-five-years old, six-to-12 years, teens, and the best group. Judging will take place in Spirit Square starting at 5:15 p.m.
Starting at 8 p.m., the annual Halloween fireworks, sponsored by the Willow Point Firefighters Association and supported by the City Fire Department, is happening at the Campbell River Sportsplex.
