Scale Institute is set to host the Connect Money Impact (CMI) event in Campbell River on May 8 at the Maritime Heritage Centre.
This dynamic gathering will convene social entrepreneurs, impact investors, community leaders, and ecosystem builders from Vancouver Island and the Coast to foster learning, collaboration, and connection around pressing local challenges and opportunities.
The CMI event aims to increase awareness of impact investing approaches, strengthen the local impact investing ecosystem, and connect promising projects with vital resources. Attendees will engage in insightful sessions on climate solutions, housing, Indigenous-led innovation, social finance, community ownership, and sustainable economies.
The day is packed with a great lineup of 27 speakers from Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, featuring a keynote by Paul LaCerte from Raven Indigenous Capital Partners, plus specialized sessions for entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem builders, along with plenty of chances to connect. Session topics range from "Access to Capital" and "Investing in Our Local Food Economy" to "Innovative Finance" and "Investing in Sustainable Economies, Ocean and Tourism." "Capital Alone is Not Enough" will bring participants together for a crucial discussion on the importance of non-financial support.
"We are thrilled to bring Connect Money Impact to Campbell River," says Kristi Rivait, Scale Collaborative co-founder. "This event is a vital platform for mobilizing capital and collaboration towards positive social and environmental impact in our region.
