SRD approves nearly $3K for Campbell River museum

Money will go toward helping pay for costs associated with its public programming this year

The Museum at Campbell River will receive a $2,750 grant to help with its 2025 public programming.

A $2,750 grant to help the Museum at Campbell River with the costs for its 2025 public programming was approved by Strathcona Regional District directors on March 11. 

In a letter to the regional district, the museum's executive director, Sandra Parrish, said it is an increasingly challenging time for many, but the museum is "committed to providing a public space that is friendly, affordable and engaging."

Also during the March 11 electoral areas services committee meeting, a $1,500 grant for the Sayward Futures Society to help funds its Canada Day celebration was also approved.
