Does the thought of your kids being set loose in the kitchen terrify you? Send them to the Foodie Kids program at the Community Centre to learn the cooking skills they need to make their way around pots

Kids can learn to prepare awesome meals and snacks…without burning the house down.

Are your kids hungry after school?

Are they starting to prepare meals and snacks on their own?

It’s a scary thought giving your kids full access to the kitchen for the first time.

The City of Campbell River Recreation and Culture department can help prepare you and your kids for this next step in your family’s life.

Foodie Kids is a program that runs Mondays at the Community Centre from 3-4:30 p.m.

Participants will learn basic kitchen safety, how to prepare simple but scrumptious snacks and compile a cookbook of recipes and cooking tips to take home.

Lin Kohlhofer will be teaching this course.

Kohlhofe has been teaching cooking to kids for years with the Recreation Department and is looking forward to the newest batch of chefs joining her in the kitchen.

Foodie Kids is held at the Community Centre on Mondays from 3-4:30 p.m. starting Monday, Feb. 18 and ending March 11.

Space is limited.  Arrange for your child and a friend to sign up today!
