Purple Day is Wednesday, March 26 and the two youths are asking everyone to show their support by wearing purple. Purple day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about epilepsy. Taylor is one of many people in the community living with epilepsy and is asking for people to show their understanding and acceptance for a condition that affects 300,000 people in Canada. Epilepsy is a medical condition that causes a person to have recurring seizures caused by excessive discharges of electrical impulses in the brain. Seizures can vary in frequency and severity from only occasionally to hundreds of times a day.
