Eric Overhoff’s love of photography was the subject of an award-winning documentary.

Timberline Secondary media student, Eric Overhoff, took the old adage, “write about something you know” to heart, to create a very poignant documentary on his love of photography and how this translates to video making.

This video won first place in the Documentary genre at the BC Student Film festival held this year in Vancouver.

This festival is a provincial competition in which high school students create videos representing different genres (PSA, music video, narratives, experimental and documentary).

They are then judged by professionals in the industry with winners being announced during the festival itself.

This documentary included video footage filmed by Overhoff as well as his collection of photographs that he took over the course of his high school years.

The music included in his video was written and recorded by Isaiah Brabazon. Overhoff was presented this award in Vancouver on May 24.
