Cadets from 2943 PPCLI Army Cadet Corps had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with 19 Wing at CFB Comox last weekend.

The cadets toured and learned about the history of the CC-115 Buffalo aircraft used by 442 Squadron in search and rescue exercises.

They also visited the 195 Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) and 19 Construction Engineering Squadron (CES) teams. With the staff of the fire hall, cadets were able to experience firsthand how to use jaws of life, shoot water turrets from the various vehicles, person carries, as well as trying on the protective gear and using a fire hose.
