Dear editor,
One frequently reads quite critical comments regarding our healthcare system and our hospital. I am writing this because this has not been our experience.
My wife had a lengthy stay in our hospital which unfortunately ended with her death. However, throughout her stay, and no matter which unit she was on, the care she received was simply outstanding. And when I speak of the quality of her care I am referring to the kindness, the compassion, the thoughtfulness and the professionalism of the hospital staff. I am not just referring to the doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and aides but also to the food services, cleaning staff and clerical.
We are very fortunate to have such talented and dedicated individuals staffing our hospital and we are indebted to them all.
