It’s been thirty years that you’ve been gone
But our memory and love for you still lives on
We think of you often in so many ways
You always amazed us throughout your days
Your niece and nephews are all now grown,
Some of them even have kids of their own
We know that your influence would have been awesome
No shortage of things that you could have taught them
Your laugher, your wisdom, your caring spirit
If we listen close… we can still hear it
Your outlook on life was like no other
A friend to so many… son, uncle, brother
Though Dad is gone too, we like to believe
That you two are together shooting the breeze
We wish you were with us but one thing is clear
