Get up close and personal with Ralph Barrat and his Band, The Sharp 7, next Saturday evening, Jan. 28 at The Royal Coachman Upper Banquet Room.
And make it a night of both dinner dancing, as The Royal Coachman will be offering dinner specials and a full food and beverage menu to compliment your evening out.
“Believe it or not, Francis Albert (Frank) Sinatra was born 101 years ago,” says Barrat.
This special performance will recognize and honour many of the amazing songs and career of Frank Sinatra.
Enjoy a stellar evening of Classic tunes expertly performed as Barrat belts out tunes with his distinctive style reminiscent of Sinatra. Take a seat as the band transports you back in time to the Golden era of Jazz with songs like Lady is a Tramp, Take the A Train and Mack the Knife, just to name a few.
This dynamic seven piece ensemble includes a fantastic first call horn section that includes Jeff Agopsowicz on trombone, Jake Masri on trumpet and Jack Reynolds on tenor sax and flute. Newcomer to the band Agopsowicz recently retired following a 30 year musical career with the Nadan Band of the Canadian Armed Forces. Agopsowicz has collaborated with some of Canada`s finest musicians and the Band is thrilled to have him as part of the band.
The band also includes some of the Comox Valleys most in demand and skilled musicians, including Grahame Edwards on Bass and Michael Eddy on Keyboard. Rounding out the rhythm section is Rob Peterson on Drums.
There will be a designated dance area to kick up your heals, so bring your dancing shoes, as well.

Doors open at 6 a.m. and the music begins at 7 p.m.
