Gary Falck works on his raku. The artist will have his work on display at the Quadra Studio Tour next month.

Quadra Island artists will kick off the 12th year of the Quadra Island Studio Tour June 7 and 8.

The tour gives visitors a chance to meet the artists behind the artwork.

Travel around the island viewing unique works of art while tapping into the artists’ creative process. Explore 22 working studios, watch demos, and be sure to visit the Community Centre where many more artists will be exhibiting their works. Great food and drink, and a sampling of all the artists’ work can also be found at this venue.

This year, for the first time, there will be a silent auction featuring an amazing piece of art donated by Discovery Metal Creations titled “Leaping Beauty.” The work can be seen and bid on at the Community Centre during the tour.

Tickets are $5 per person (kids under 12 are free) and are available from: Campbell River Art Gallery, Comox Valley Art Gallery, Hummingbird Office and Art Supply, Works of H’Art, Quadra Tourist Info Centre, and Quadra Island resorts.
