The music is free but there will be lots of donuts and coffee available at Freeman & Hill’s Saturday night concert.

The acoustic duo will be playing at Perks Donuts on Saturday.

They always perform for free and there is never any money involved for anyone who comes in.

The concert runs from 7-9 p.m. at Perks (1100 Homewood Ave).

Sussana Hill and David Freeman are a folk music duo called Freeman & Hill.

As Campbell River residents they enjoy performing concerts in and around town without any cost.

Formed five years ago, Freeman and Hill performs “for the love of the song.”

They hope to inspire, captivate, and raise the spirits of an audience through songs and stories.

The duo searches out folk songs that are off the beaten path and then arranges them into a unique form to present to a listening audience.

If people pay close attention, the lyrics will take them on a journey through the human experience, and deliver them back into their day with a refreshed and more relaxed way of looking at life.

It’s a mellowing type of performance.

Every summer they set aside the songs from the past music season and learn fresh material. Each fall they bring out these two sets of new songs to entertain.
